Safeguarding

Promoting a Safer Church

Our parish of Christ Church, Felixstowe is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and adults from harm.

We follow the House of Bishops' guidance and policies and have our own Safeguarding Officer. Our Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer who advises our Safeguarding Officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact our Safeguarding Officer, Chris Moran, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, Karen Galloway. Their details are below.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority's children or adult social care services. Further information can be found on the diocesan website Promoting a safer church - Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

Our parish safeguarding officer is Chris Moran.

Planning your Visit

New to church?

For most of us, life feels like a journey. Faith is a bit like a journey too, and coming along to church can be a really helpful way to get some guidance on the path. We'd love to meet you.

Why not just turn up on Sunday at 10.30am? You'll get a warm welcome. You don't need to wear anything special, or worry about feeling out of place. You won't be singled out, and you won't be asked to do anything you don't want to do. You can find out more about the services here.

We can't wait to meet you.
