The people have finally arrived, after a long journey from their roots in slavery in Egypt, through their wanderings in the wilderness, and then across the River Jordan. The first thing God asks them to do once they're in the land is to create a pile of stones: why? And what does this mean for us today?

The Israelites are facing a season of change. Their leader, Moses, is dead; and their new leader has been tasked by God to finally take them into the promised land. This sermon explores the themes of promise, precept, and presence, as well as touching on some of the difficulties of reading a text like Joshua in our modern world.

Planning your Visit

We're so glad to see you!

Happy people worshipping in the church

We meet together every Sunday morning at 10:30am, and we'd love to welcome you.

What should I expect?
A warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, great music, and cake! Our services include singing, praying, words from the Bible, and teaching about how to follow Jesus. There's normally a chance to be prayed for during or after the services, too, if there's something specific you're concerned about. Don't worry, though - we won't ask you to do or say anything you don't want to, and there's no pressure on anyone.
Our services are live-streamed on YouTube, and you can view previous ones here, to give you a better idea of what goes on.

What about my children?
Children are welcome here. Most weeks there are groups and activities for ages 0 - 17, or they can stay in the main worship area if they'd prefer. There's more information here!

Is the building accessible?
Yes. We have wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a hearing loop. It's a modern and comfortable space, and you can sit at the back if you want - especially if you're new and not sure how things go.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in - there's no dress code.

What's next?
Come and visit! If you want to let us know you're coming in advance, or if you have any questions, you can use the form below. We look forward to welcoming you!
