Kingdom Work at Christ Church

Saturday 25th October 2025, from 9:30am - 12noon.

Jigsaw puzzle being put together

"In Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully." (Romans 8:5-8).

One of the bible's most beautiful metaphors for the church is that of a body: a complex organism with many different parts, all of which are vital to the functioning of the whole. Christ is the head of the body, and we are the different parts: and this means that everyone who belongs to Christ has a part to play in his church.

At Christ Church, we want you to belong and engage. We have many different ways in which you can engage with the life of the church here, and there may well be others that we haven't yet thought about. We're going to begin exploring some of these possibilities at our first 'Kingdom Work at Christ Church' fair, on Saturday 25th October from 9:30am.

Come along to find out more about the ways in which you can become more engaged in the life of the church here. If each of us has gifts from God, which are meant to build up the church (Ephesians 4:11-13), then Christ Church needs your gifts. Come along to find out more.

(And, yes, we do know the name shortens to 'KWACC'...)

Planning your Visit

We're so glad to see you!

Happy people worshipping in the church

We meet together every Sunday morning at 10:30am, and we'd love to welcome you.

What should I expect?
A warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, great music, and cake! Our services include singing, praying, words from the Bible, and teaching about how to follow Jesus. There's normally a chance to be prayed for during or after the services, too, if there's something specific you're concerned about. Don't worry, though - we won't ask you to do or say anything you don't want to, and there's no pressure on anyone.
Our services are live-streamed on YouTube, and you can view previous ones here, to give you a better idea of what goes on.

What about my children?
Children are welcome here. Most weeks there are groups and activities for ages 0 - 17, or they can stay in the main worship area if they'd prefer. There's more information here!

Is the building accessible?
Yes. We have wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a hearing loop. It's a modern and comfortable space, and you can sit at the back if you want - especially if you're new and not sure how things go.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in - there's no dress code.

What's next?
